本校國際處國際專修部（國專部）再次傳來捷報！在114年度的華語文能力測驗（TOCFL）中獲得可喜成果─去年秋季入學、來自越南、印尼及蒙古的10名學生全數通過Level 2（A2）基礎級標準，其中6名更達到Level 3（B1）進階級，整體通過率達100%，不僅展現學生在語言學習上的努力與投入，也肯定了本校華語教學的紮實成果與教學成效。

甫於今年春季班入學的學生表現同樣令人鼓舞。在短短半年的密集課程訓練下，共有13名學生參加測驗，全數通過 TOCFL（A2），其中8人更一舉達到Level 3（B1）進階級水準，充分證明本校課程設計紮實、學習輔導精準，讓學生能在短時間內快速提升華語能力，為未來的專業課程學習打下良好基礎。

國際專修部之設置，是為招收僑外生就讀符合國家及產業人力需求之重點領域科系，提供完善學習與生活輔導資源，促進優秀人才留臺就業；學生入學後先修習華語1年培養華語能力基礎，華語檢測若達A2標準，則續留國專部就讀學士專業。目前本校國專部第二年起銜接的專業為電子工程學系。

國專部柯宗憲主任表示：「這次的成果令人非常振奮，也印證了我們以學生為中心的教學策略是正確且具成效的。語言學習需要時間和累積，但透過密集課程設計與持續的個別輔導，我們的學生在短時間內展現了極高的學習動能與成果。這不只是一次考試的勝利，更是他們邁向學術與職涯發展的重要起點。」

國專部致力於打造適性教學環境，結合課堂學習、課後輔導與語言實境應用，幫助學生穩健提升語言實力。此次成果的背後，不僅反映學生們的持續努力與投入，也展現本校對境外生教學品質的堅持與用心。

新的學期開始，國專部將借重語文中心的專業，持續強化華語教學資源與師資配置，協助更多來台學習的國際學生突破語言門檻，同時推動數理加強課程，幫助學生順利銜接大學專業課程，朝向留台發展的目標邁進！

身為本校電子系教授的柯主任指出：「學生們在密集課程與個別輔導下，在華語成績上展現了卓越的學習成果，相信未來進入電子系學習能更為順利。感謝學校相關各級單位及國際處同仁們的支持與協助。隨著明年起華語教學業務將交由專業的語言中心負責，期待此安排將為未來學習華語的同學帶來更優質的學習環境與成果。」（國際處）

The International Foundation Program (IFP) at National Changhua University of Education (NCUE) has once again achieved an impressive milestone. In the 2025 Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), all 10 participating students from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Mongolia—who enrolled in the IFP in the Fall semester of 2024, successfully passed Level 2 (A2), with 6 students even reaching Level 3 (B1), showcasing their remarkable Mandarin learning progress. The 100% pass rate not only highlights the students’ dedication and effort but also affirms the effectiveness and quality of NCUE’s Mandarin teaching.

Students from the 2025 spring term also delivered outstanding performance. After only six months of intensive language training, all 13 test-takers passed Level 2 (A2), and 8 of them further reached the more advanced Level 3 (B1). These results clearly demonstrate the solid curriculum design and targeted academic support offered by NCUE, enabling students to rapidly improve their Mandarin proficiency and build a strong foundation for future academic studies.

The purpose of establishing the IFP is to recruit international students into key academic fields aligned with national and industry talent demands. The program provides comprehensive academic and living support to encourage outstanding students to remain in Taiwan for employment after graduation. Upon admission, students undergo one year of intensive Mandarin training to build a solid language foundation. Those who achieve at least Level A2 on the TOCFL are eligible to stay in the program and continue their studies toward a bachelor’s degree. At NCUE, the professional coursework beginning in the second year is currently offered through the Department of Electronic Engineering.

Professor Tsung-Shine Ko, Director of the IFP, remarked: “These results are truly encouraging and validate the effectiveness of our student-centered teaching strategies. Language learning requires time and persistence, but through intensive course design and continuous individual support, our students have shown outstanding motivation and achievement within a short period. This is not just a one-time exam success, but a significant starting point for their academic and career development.”

The IFP at NCUE is committed to creating a supportive and adaptive learning environment that integrates classroom instruction, after-class tutoring, and real-life language application. The success of this round of TOCFL testing reflects not only the students’ continued dedication but also the university’s commitment to high-quality education for international students.

As a new semester begins, the IFP will collaborate more closely with NCUE’s Language Center to strengthen Mandarin teaching resources and faculty support, helping more international students overcome language barriers. In addition, new math and science enhancement courses will be launched to better prepare students for professional university coursework and support their long-term academic and career development in Taiwan.

Professor Ko, who also teaches in the Department of Electronic Engineering, added: “Our students enrolled in the IFP have shown exceptional results in Mandarin thanks to intensive coursework and personalized guidance. I believe they will be well-prepared to pursue their studies in the Department of Electronic Engineering. I would also like to thank the colleagues at the International Office, as well as all the supporting units across the university, for their help in fulfilling our goal. Starting next year, the Language Center will take over the Mandarin instruction, and I am confident this transition will provide an even better learning environment and outcomes for future students.”
