本校國際專修部本學期傳出捷報。在33名參與華語先修課程的境外學生中，共有29名順利通過華語文能力測驗（TOCFL）基礎級（A2）門檻，整體通過率近九成，並將銜接升讀大學部專業科系。這群來自印尼、越南及菲律賓等國的境外學生，在一年的系統化培訓與輔導下，不僅逐步克服語言藩籬，也更加熟悉在臺生活與學習環境，為後續專業領域的學習奠定良好基礎。

國際專修部此一成果主要來自學校在學術、生活及學習環境等面向所建構的三大支持系統：

一、 創新「雙軌小老師」輔導與多元文化融入

在第一年的關鍵語言適應期，學校除採行「一班一專任華語老師」的教學安排，以掌握學生學習進度外，更遴選校內優秀臺灣學生擔任「華語小老師」與「數理小老師」，透過課後個別化與針對性的學習輔導，協助境外學生提升華語及基礎學術能力。

此外，課程亦融入書法、端午香包、中秋月餅等臺灣傳統文化體驗，並透過跨文化班會及班際交流活動，鼓勵不同國籍學生分享各自文化、飲食與生活經驗，讓學生在友善而多元的環境中增加互動，逐步融入校園與臺灣生活。

二、 貼近生活的安全守護與教學環境升級

為讓境外學生安心就學，本校亦高度重視學生在臺生活與工作的適應情形。針對具有工讀需求的學生，學校除協助媒合適當的工讀機會外，也定期訪視其工作場所，實際了解其工作內容與適應狀況，並確認勞動環境符合相關規範及安全要求。

在教學環境方面，國際專修部持續進行軟硬體升級，教室已陸續建置「互動觸控式螢幕」及「開合式加大白板」，提供教師更多元的教學方式，也讓學生能透過數位互動、板書與課堂討論等不同形式進行學習，進一步提升課堂教學與學習成效。

三、 導師提前掌握學生需求，強化專業學習與生涯銜接

國際專修部主任暨電子工程系教授柯宗憲表示：「這學期看到學生們在華語學習及在臺生活適應上所展現的成果，我們感到相當欣慰。29名學生順利通過TOCFL A2門檻，不僅是學生一年來努力學習的成果，也反映出華語教師、輔導團隊及學校各項支持措施的共同投入。第一年的華語先修課程只是學生在臺求學的起點，升入大學部專業科系之後，如何協助他們順利銜接專業課程、適應大學生活，甚至提早思考未來的職涯發展，同樣是我們非常重視的工作。」

柯主任115學年度也將擔任這一屆學生升讀大學部後的班級導師，他希望能更直接了解每個學生在學業、生活及生涯規劃上的需求。為了讓開學後的班級經營與個別輔導更加順利，柯主任已先行了解並彙整全班學生過去的學習情形、家庭支持狀況及相關背景資料，希望能提早掌握每個學生可能面臨的學習與適應需求，並在開學後提供更具針對性的協助。

柯主任指出，除了透過班會與平時互動給予學生適時的關懷與協助，國際專修部也希望逐步引導學生了解臺灣產業環境及未來就業所需要具備的專業能力。身為電子工程系教授，他尤其期待學生在完成華語學習後，能進一步累積電子、工程及相關領域的專業知識與實務能力，未來順利完成學業並在臺發展，成為臺灣電子產業與製造業所需要的優秀國際人才。

未來，本校將持續整合華語教學、專業課程、導師輔導、生活照顧及產業銜接等資源，依照學生不同學習階段提供相應的支持。期盼透過完整且持續的培育機制，協助國際專修部學生從華語學習順利銜接至大學專業教育，逐步建立專業能力與職涯方向，為未來在臺就業及長期發展做好準備。（國際暨兩岸事務處國際專修部）

The International Foundation Program at National Changhua University of Education (NCUE) has achieved another encouraging result this semester. Of the 33 international students enrolled in the one-year Chinese language preparatory program, 29 successfully passed the Level 2 (A2) threshold of the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), achieving an overall pass rate of nearly 90%. These students will go on to pursue undergraduate degrees in their respective academic disciplines.

Coming from Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other countries, the students have spent the past year receiving systematic language training and comprehensive support. In addition to gradually overcoming language barriers, they have become increasingly familiar with life and study in Taiwan, laying a solid foundation for their future academic pursuits in their chosen professional fields.

The success of the International Foundation Program can be attributed largely to three key support systems established by NCUE in the areas of academics, daily life, and the learning environment.

1. Innovative “Dual-Tutor” Support and Multicultural Integration

During the critical first year of language adaptation, NCUE assigns a dedicated Chinese language instructor to each class to closely monitor students’ learning progress. In addition, outstanding Taiwanese students are selected to serve as “Chinese Language Tutors” and “Math and Science Tutors.” Through individualized and targeted after-class tutoring, these student tutors help international students strengthen both their Chinese proficiency and foundational academic skills. The curriculum also incorporates hands-on experiences with Taiwanese traditional culture, including Chinese calligraphy, making Dragon Boat Festival sachets, and preparing traditional Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes. Through cross-cultural class meetings and inter-class exchange activities, students from different countries are encouraged to share their cultures, food, and everyday experiences. These activities create a friendly and diverse environment in which students can interact with one another, gradually integrate into the campus community, and become more familiar with life in Taiwan.

2. Enhanced Student Safety and Upgraded Learning Environment

To ensure that international students can study in Taiwan with peace of mind, NCUE places great emphasis on their adjustment to daily life and employment in Taiwan. For students seeking part-time employment, NCUE not only assists them in finding suitable job opportunities but also conducts regular visits to their workplaces to understand their duties and adaptation. These visits also help ensure that working conditions comply with relevant regulations and safety requirements.

The International Foundation Program has also continued to upgrade its teaching facilities and equipment. Classrooms have been gradually equipped with interactive touchscreen displays and large foldable whiteboards, providing instructors with more diverse teaching approaches. Students can also engage in learning through digital interaction, traditional board work, and classroom discussions, further enhancing learning effectiveness.

3. Proactive Academic Advising to Strengthen Professional Learning and Career Preparation

Professor Tsung-Hsien Ko, Director of the International Foundation Program and a professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, said, “We are very pleased to see the progress our students have made this semester in both Chinese language learning and adapting to life in Taiwan. The successful completion of the TOCFL A2 requirement by 29 students is not only a reflection of their hard work over the past year, but also demonstrates the collective commitment of our Chinese language instructors, support team, and NCUE’s various student support initiatives. The first-year Chinese language preparatory program is only the beginning of their academic journey in Taiwan. Once they enter their undergraduate programs, helping them make a smooth transition to professional coursework, adapt to university life, and even begin thinking about their future career development will be equally important priorities for us.”

Professor Ko will also serve as the class advisor for this cohort after they advance to their undergraduate programs in the 2026–27 academic year. He hopes to gain a more direct understanding of each student’s academic, personal, and career-planning needs. To facilitate class management and individualized support after the new academic year begins, Professor Ko has already reviewed and compiled information on the students’ previous academic performance, family support, and relevant backgrounds. By gaining an early understanding of the learning and adjustment challenges that individual students may face, he hopes to provide more targeted assistance from the beginning of their undergraduate studies.

Professor Ko noted that, in addition to providing timely care and assistance through class meetings and regular interaction, the International Foundation Program also hopes to gradually guide students in understanding Taiwan’s industrial landscape and the professional competencies required for future employment. As a professor of electronic engineering, he particularly hopes that, after completing their Chinese language studies, the students will go on to acquire professional knowledge and practical skills in electronics, engineering, and related fields. He hopes that they will successfully complete their studies and pursue career opportunities in Taiwan, becoming outstanding international professionals who can contribute to Taiwan’s electronics and manufacturing industries.

Looking ahead, NCUE will continue to integrate resources in Chinese language education, professional coursework, academic advising, student support, and industry connections, providing appropriate assistance according to students’ different stages of learning. Through a comprehensive and sustained support and development system, the University aims to help International Foundation Program students make a smooth transition from Chinese language learning to undergraduate professional education, gradually develop their professional competencies and career goals, and prepare themselves for employment and long-term development in Taiwan.
