僑外臺生同「舟」共濟 奪鹿港龍舟賽國際組第四佳績 Be in the Same Boat: NCUE International Students Paddle Toward Unity and Victory at the 2025 Lukang Dragon Boat Race

 

彰化師大國際學生再創佳績!由來自不同國家、地區學生混編的兩支隊伍,代表學校參加2025鹿港慶端陽國際龍舟錦標賽,展現絕佳團隊默契與拚戰精神,其中「咿喔咿喔游泳隊」戮力齊心,勇奪國際組第四名,除獲彰化縣政府頒發獎座以及每名參賽者一面獎牌外,更為僑外生與本地生的文化交融與大學生活增添美好回憶!

本屆龍舟賽於5月30日至6月1日在鹿港福鹿溪水道熱烈展開,共有來自國內外的126支隊伍參賽,競爭激烈。由本校國際處籌組的兩支隊伍──「咿喔咿喔游泳隊」與「小心地劃隊」,成員來自馬來西亞、香港、澳門、南非、印度、土耳其及臺灣等,於5月中旬即赴鹿港福鹿溪水道實地練習;儘管參賽人數未達標準每船22人的滿額編制,學生們仍憑藉高度的團隊合作與不懈努力,在300公尺的決賽賽道上划出佳績。

為了鼓舞士氣,國際處號召僑外生以及由本地生組成的院學伴與國際友善大使逢場加油,或隨團照護,讓選手們得到最充分的支援;而划槳操舟與吶喊助威團隊的青春活力,除了羨煞不少參賽隊伍,亦成為許多新聞媒體直播鏡頭下的焦點。

此一年度盛事讓僑外生深度體驗臺灣端午節的文化傳統與龍舟運動的魅力,多次的練習與比賽過程,亦促進不同國家背景學生間的文化交流與友誼的建立。參賽同學紛紛表示,這次賽事不僅是體能的挑戰,更是一次感受臺灣在地節慶文化與凝聚力的珍貴經驗。(國際暨兩岸事務處)

International students at National Changhua University of Education (NCUE) have once again made their mark! Two mixed teams of international and local students represented NCUE in the 2025 Lukang Dragon Boat Festival International Championship. Competing against 126 teams from Taiwan and abroad, one of the teams paddled their way to an impressive 4th place in the International Division.

The event took place from May 30 to June 1 along the Fulu River in Lukang. The two NCUE teams were organized by the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs (OICA) and comprised students from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, South Africa, India, Turkey, and Taiwan. In mid-May, the teams began field training at the Fulu River site. Despite having fewer than the standard 22 paddlers per boat, the students bonded through weeks of practice and, paddling with heart, demonstrated remarkable teamwork and perseverance—delivering strong results in the 300-meter final.

The team that placed 4th received a trophy from the Changhua County Government, and each team member was awarded a medal—serving as a meaningful memento of cultural exchange and vibrant campus life for both international and local students.

To boost morale, the OICA invited international students, supported by local NCUE International Ambassadors and student buddies from various colleges, to cheer from the sidelines and assist with logistics. Their vibrant energy—on the water and in the stands—became a highlight of the event and caught the attention of numerous livestream media outlets.

Many participants shared that this annual event was not only a physical challenge but also a memorable encounter with Taiwan’s cultural heritage. From training sessions to race-day cheers, students experienced firsthand the excitement and deeper meaning of this cherished Taiwanese tradition. It was a celebration of cultural exchange, friendship, and the spirit and significance of the Dragon Boat Festival.
